Painting an Antique Couch and Chair Set

Most of you by now have seen painted upholstery. This isn't my first project of this type, but it is by far the largest! After 3 coats of fabric paint (made by mixing fabric medium with paint) the set is complete.
Here is the couch before. The fabric was in good shape but it had stains.
Here is a during photo. The cushions had one or two coats of paint and the rest of the couch didn't.
Here is the finished set! Doesn't it look so much better?
The backs of the couch and chair were replaced with some fun fabric.
Enjoyed the project?

Frequently asked questions
Have a question about this project?
Hi, I have an antique chair as well. I didn’t know you could paint fabric. My chair is more like silky material. Would that need a different kind of paint?
It looks like the set was a velvet fabric & I like the feel of velvet. What does the fabric feel like now that it's painted? (It looks great!)
