Modern Day Southern Plantation

South Cypress
by South Cypress
On the outskirts of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with custom finishes and tons of Southern Charm, Amy has created her "Modern Day Southern Plantation."
Kitchen with Herringbone Wood Look Tile
When remodeling her home, Amy needed to find flooring that was durable but also blended with her existing dark, heart pine wood floors that flowed through the rest of her home.
Kitchen & Island
Amy chose Vintage Woodlands - a wood look porcelain tile. With amazing variation in color, it blended perfectly with her existing heart pine wood floors and also popped off of the dark, stained cypress cabinets. She also loved the distressed look and rich texture of the tile.
Kitchen & Dining
The wood look tile was installed in a Herringbone pattern which gives the space a formal and elegant feel. The herringbone pattern is great for open layouts with flowing space, because it creates an optical illusion that draws your eye.
With high ceilings, warm colors, rich textures, and elegant finishes, Amy's home truly is a Southern Jewel!
