My fairy tale style shed

This is a 2 story shed I built with the help of a friend a few years ago. It actually has a second floor loft that is accessible via a permanent ladder inside. It has double garage doors in the back with ramps so I can get my tractor in and out easily. There are cedar shakes near the roof on the sides with a cute little window with shutters that swing out cottage style. I used old windows and an old door I had lying around and then built the shutters and window boxes. There is a matching window on the side and the windowbox flowers overflow by mid summer and cover half the windows. I love my little fairy tale shed and enjoy decorating it for summer. Deer, groundhogs and other wildlife enjoy hanging out there. Thanks for letting me share my love of gardening.

I think it's darling! It's fun to see someone with such creativity and a sense of whimsy and fun, especially with an object like a shed which is usually so boring and drab. I too think you can never have too many flowers! :)

Just great...yet ANOTHER idea for me to do in MY yard!! lol!! I have a shed that could use a little TLC - and a much needed paint job - guess it's a trip to the depot for some paint - thanks for the inspiration!!! it's really very pretty!!

I absoultely love it!!!! And I LOVE al the flowers! I wish I could do to my shed what you did to yours, but I will def. take certain ideas of yours to help me dress up my very drab shed and personally, what grabbed my attention & liking the most were the flowers! great job!

However Unlike You, My ground hog is not so friendly & I don't know how much more I can fence up my yard and cover every possible under ground holes they are building! Last year, I used Hot pepper flakes and sprinkled on my flowers each day....that was a pain in the u know what....however, it worked for like 2 months....and I won the battle with the ground hogs but my soil I noticed after a couple of months the seeds seeping into the soil and flowers slower flourished, so I stopped. Short ...»
time use, it's fine to use....but def. not a long term solution, so u must tell me, How did you train your groundhog? LOL

Deer Off, Really! Probably works for groundhogs & not deers! Thank you...I will actually go run to buy it tommorrow, I'm in a war with a groud hog...even have a Save a heart trap and baited him with sunflowers and watermelon....watermelon is the greatest bait for groundhog traps, last year, that's how I got every one....by putting watermelon in the trap....but this year, this fiesty groundhog that thinks my flowers are his daily meal, is outsmarting me with the watermelon! I'll try ...»
anything @ this point! Thank u for that tip....can't wait to try it!

@ Susan.....you beat me to it! hee hee hee...too funny! People really don't knw how they come across on paper or text or whatever, do they? A little preconversation could soften the "not like so much" comment! haha..Anyway..."Like" is not strong enough, this is so sweet , I LOVE it all and I agree, I would use it as a getaway, but if it has to house working stuff...you might as well enjoy .

I just have to add some more...many of us didn't have a lot of fairy tales in our childhood, I was never allowed to or free to, decorate my room/home until i was in my 30"s. Foster homes and military housing etc. I would have loved to have something this sweet as a child! So to have it as an adult..more power to you!!!

I have a lake house in Sparta,Ga. and use nothing but DEER OFF...it works for rabbits also. i swear by it. However don't buy the "pump type" container, the old spray type works so much better. Wish i could have a shed,( LOVE IT) but my taxes would go up, my assessor told me it is a "gray area" when i asked about it.....yeah, guess to who's advantage!!
