DIY Geometric Headboard Tutorial (for Under $100)

I was in need of a new headboard and wanted something unique and modern. After searching for a geometric headboard I came across one from Urban Outfitters. I loved the overall look, but the $700 price tag made me decide to build and paint my own.
I began by figuring out the measurements based off of the size of my bed (height and width). I wanted more of a statement piece so I chose to make the headboard extend higher than most. See the full tutorial here along with lots of photos!
