The Glass Townhouse.
by
Jacobs Design, Inc.
(IC: professional)
A townhouse home in Mexico City. I designed and built it. It is in the L. Barragan, minimalist style with the difference of substantially more glass, and in this case but joint or structural glass. The purpose being to bring natural light in. The house is painted Lavender, inspired by the Jacaranda trees in the lot, and an unusual color. Also in glass are the entry, the fireplace and the top floor staircase railing. Many other details were fun too.

Jerry Jacobs on Oct 21, 2015Thanks Liliana, I'm glad you like the house. We just did some remodeling and additions will pos5 soon. It is funny you mention the doors. There use to be a showroom in Mexico City, perhaps by the most famous interior designer at the time "Arturo Pany" which I remodeled into an Aca Joe store at the time. I salvaged the entrance door and reused them here to conceal the water pressure system as a reaction to the style, a bit of a sense of humor I guess. Cheers...

Jerry Jacobs on Oct 22, 2015Eclecticism with a sense of humor. So a traditionalist thinks that should be the home entrance. Saludos.
