What a coincidence! We just bought supplies today to add craftsman details to our closet doors. Will take your advice and paint the doors first. Also going to get some of those chisel point foam brushes.

Looks great! I just finished up a dining room and up the stairs and hallway in board and batten. Such a great way to add architectural detail.
