Kitchen Desk Makeover
by

We had a kitchen desk area that I desperately wanted to be pretty and functional instead of the boring, dull space it was.
The kitchen desk before we did anything with it was just ugly. It was frustrating because it was in a central part of the house, so everyone who came in saw it.
We started by taking down the light (which was just being held up with velcro!). We taped off the back wall and painted it with chalkboard paint.
Next, we took down the old radio/intercom system.
We painted the frame of an old cork board and pieces of trim the same teal.
We hung the trim and cork board, along with some other pieces that we already had.
We put in a proper table lamp. I love how our kitchen desk turned out. It's a pretty space now and is much more organized.
