SUMMER GRAPE VINE WREATH - One of my Summer decorations on MY FRONT PORCH ;~)

#1) Wreath from 2005 - Pastels

#2) 2012 Wreath Re-Do.

After 7 years this wreath was starting to look a little bedraggled so she got all new flowers & a new 2 tone ribbon. But this time she wasn't feeling shy & demur. Noooo, NOT this lady!! She was ready to strut her stuff so she came out BRIGHT & BOLD!!

Sherrie - Now that would be fun!! I actually made this one before WE got into the frog thing BUT, on my front porch I do have a life sized green frog sitting on a table semi-hidden under the leaves of a plant! When I started looking around at "THINGS I REALLY NEED TO GET GOING ON" - there are a number of ornamentals in the back yard that need serious attention as in cleaning and touched up w/paint. Poor things are so faded out it's hard to tell what they are BUT I do know a few of ...»
them are frogs and a couple of turtles. Hey, do you suppose the craft places would have lily pads and frogs and other things aquatic I could use on a wreath??? WARNING WARNING - IDEA BEING "SPAWNED"!! Your Fault!!

Oh, and thank you very much for the "approval" stamp!!! That means alot to me and I appreciate your kind words!! ; ~)

FYI - for the record, weather report giving an official high of 105 -DC temp. In our 'burg we were a balmy 103 today.

Susan, I would love to see an aquatic theme also, I can not imagine how it would go , treasures, surprises, not too obvious, but fun! Please let us in Hometalk land see this cool idea !

Susan, why is everything my fault? Well I can take it so I do want to suggest cleaning up the ornamental frogs and turtles. Just make believe you have a natural habitat.

Ladies - you do realize the front porch post was in July right?? I don't know who decided to dig this up - Sharron I think. But, I'm not quite ready to give summer up either and it is still on display. Guess I ought to give some thought to something else huh??

Susan S, believe it or not Fall for 2012 begins in the Northern Hemisphere on September 22, 10:49 A.M. EDT. That means you have 2 days of summer remaining.

I'll have many summer days in Florida after 9/22/12. hee, hee.

@Sharron - My husband put on his heavy robe to go out & sit on the deck w/his coffee this morning. He said the temp. was 48 degrees!! Brrrr. Right now our temp is 74 - NO HUMIDITY!!! It is great weather for sleeping though. I can have the windows open and just slide down between the covers - zzzzzzzz ;~)

Do you get the impression Sherrie has no sympathy for us whatsoever???

Susan S & Sharron W, I want you both to know that I really do have sympathy. I've been there and done that (winters in Pennsylvania or worse winters in Wisconsin).
