Old Bird Bath makes a great plant stand for fern. The bird bath was not even a year old and it started leaking.

Crafty idea, but I can't really see the bird bath. Do you have another photo?

Here's another picture when it was new. I loved the Mexican painted style, but the paint was thin and the resin was very porous underneath which wouldn't hold water. I just sat my fern on it and it does catch a little water from the pot.

I can see why you liked it! Glad you didn't toss it, but used it as a plant stand instead.

I have been wanting to find a decent birdbath to do this with. I love the way it looks.

I also transplanted some geranium plants in my dear Mother-In-Law's old birdbath years ago & it grew beautifully!

Love this! I LOVE ferns - can't have enough as far as I am concered. I planted them along the fence in my backyard and they have spread all up and down the fence. Makes the yard look so cool and relaxing. Have a swing in front of them under the shade of the tree. Heaven!
