Linda T on Jul 20, 2015Correct name. Mine is in a sunny window, which makes some leaf stalks grow taller than the flowers, so I cut them off and put in water. They don't 'drink' well when left alone, put I put slits in the stems with an exacto knife and now have lots of roots to start new plants.Helpful Reply

RayHart on May 20, 2016This plant is a tropical plant which goes by the local name kanakambaram in south India. Though the flower does not have much of a smell It is used by the garland industry to make garlands for weddings and other festivities. Once the plant has seeds (they turn dark brown when dried) take a seed pod and drop it in a cup of water. Wait for 10-20 seconds and watch it explode. The seed pods are shaped like tiny boats.{ "id": "3399222", "alt": "kanakambaram", "title": "kanakambaram", "video_link": "https://www.youtube.com/embed/vZ9wopJ1new", "youtube_video_id": "vZ9wopJ1new" }{ "width": 634, "height": 357, "showRelated": false }Helpful Reply
