Dresser Bookshelf

This dresser was a mess when I got it. It was all about the knobs. Some were broken, some were missing. There were extra knobs on some drawers. It was just a mess.
When I started this dresser transformation, I was just going to paint it and then replace all of the knobs. When I thought about how many knobs I would actually need and all the holes I would have to patch and redrill, I thought there had to be a better idea.
That idea came to me when I took out all the drawers to paint it. I thought it looked better already! What if I just remove the middle rungs inside the dresser and paint it all one color.
That is exactly what I did and I love it! I added vintage locker baskets inside each shelf, but it would be so cute with wicker baskets too!
This dresser bookshelf turned out so great and it is something I will actually use too! Everyone has an old dresser lying around that they could do the same thing with and use it as a bookshelf instead. This was a fun repuposed project! You can check out the blog for all of the details. On to the next!

Terra Gazelle on Dec 08, 2014Love chalk paint..I just turned a beat up piano bench into a coffee table, just had to cut the legs down about 4 inches. It started out a dark brown mess and I think turned out light and cute.
