Two of the most common ones are cleome and scarlet hibiscus. Check the photos to be sure you don't run afoul of a nosy neighbor!

    Scarlet hibiscus if very hardy. Cut the dead stems down in winter and it emerges from the roots each spring.

    They seem to thrive here. A friend gave me a small cutting three years ago. She called it "Swamp Hibiscus." I now have a huge and beautiful plant. I'm wondering how to divide it so that I can plant another.
