Two of the most common ones are cleome and scarlet hibiscus. Check the photos to be sure you don't run afoul of a nosy neighbor!

Walter Reeves on Aug 10, 2011Scarlet hibiscus if very hardy. Cut the dead stems down in winter and it emerges from the roots each spring.

Atlanta Plumbing Plus on Aug 10, 2011They seem to thrive here. A friend gave me a small cutting three years ago. She called it "Swamp Hibiscus." I now have a huge and beautiful plant. I'm wondering how to divide it so that I can plant another.
