A quick scroll through almost any Pinterest board reveals all sorts of ideas for projects using reclaimed wood - from wine racks to end tables, flooring to siding, and much more.
There are many reasons why you'd want to use reclaimed wood - it costs less, has more character, and makes for an environmentally friendly approach. Another great aspect is the opportunity to find rare and exotic woods that may cost a fortune new, or may not even be available anymore because of deforestation. But it can be a challenge to find good sources.
This tiny house is made almost entirely of reclaimed wood. Entire businesses have emerged that focus on building with recycled wood. Texas Tiny Houses is one example, and the owner Brad Kittel is a true visionary when it comes to sharing information about how he finds floor boards, doors, and much more.
