Halloween DIY Ideas for Miniature and Fairy Gardens
Halloween is a great time to use your broken or less-than-perfect miniature garden accessories AND fall is a great time to plant your miniature garden too! Here are some ideas to get you thinking a little scary…. just a little. ;o)
Mr. Pumpkin Sir! I broke and lost the head to this wee St. Francis figure so - he's now a Halloween decoration! He's surrounded by ajuga, white thyme and hens and chicks.
Skull beads + tiny driftwood + bbq skewers = SPOOKY! Don't forget the in-scale trees and shrubs that you can add as well. Our trees grow slooooowly so they can stay small for years and years.
Skull Birdbath is perfectly creepy: A broken miniature birdbath repurposed with skull beads, glue, paint and moss. Too fun! In-scale, slow-growing ground covers are what you are looking for for the understory of your miniature or fairy garden.
Top of the Skull Birdbath: The hole in the broken dish-part was big so I used a small skull bead to help fill in the gap. Are you scared YET??
Happy Halloween! A DIY Halloween Banner. Find it up in our Two Green Thumbs Miniature Garden Center store here: https://TwoGreenThumbs.com. The banner is hung in a dwarf Hinoki Cypress. See more ideas in this blog post link.
Isn't she lovely?? Here's another broken figure that I made into a unique and unusual miniature Halloween decoration. I used a fine-tipped sharpie to color in the eyes, nose and mouth of the pumpkin head.
