Oh yes Bernice H, as long as the Hens and Chicks have drainage, they are so easy to let thrive. A lot of plants don't like to have 'wet feet'. I wish my mom was still here to tell you about her African Violets she grew OUTSIDE.... and the bloomed and thrived.... me I am famous for killing the poor little things. My mom also had tons of Orichids hanging from trees... made me cry to remember all this.

Great ideas ...it is easier to take care of small concentrated areas .
