I used Kilz brand paint for this project. Maple rose shade. Unisex color. For fabric furnishings I chose Black and white color scheme. Once again thinking unisex and not being very feminine. I found the perfect cotton blend with a little stretch white background with a thin black stroke pattern of a a branch throughout the fabric for $6.00 a yard (at Hancock fabrics)---great price. Down in the Chatthoochee Shopping area at one of the trim and fabric shops picked up the best thick ruffled cotton black and white trim for the edges. Chose great 3" wide gold bamboo from the neighbors yard--with her persmission and created the rods attached to painted black supports. Little black fringe strings were made for tiebacks with white metallic loops screwed into the wall and "voila" this room is so relaxing and serene.
Advice:
Always consider who sleeps in the bedroom and their taste and choice of colors. Keep it light and airy for inspiration and relaxation.
