Garage side door and new locks
by
Patrick
(IC: homeowner)
Replaced rotted side door from garage to back yard. Replaced all locks in house in conjunction with putting locks on this door.
*Options I considered for this project:
Fiberglass door, wood doors, steel doors
*Questions and unexpected events that arose during the project:
When decided on insulated steel door had to purchase one with prepared holes for deadbolts and regular key entry lock.
* Cost Comments:
Door, locks for all doors, installation labor
*My motivation to do this project:
Old door was rotted and not secure, door and locks over 20 years old
*Project Steps:
Researched cost of all doors and benefits of each on the internet
Materials:
Masonite Pre-hung insulated steel door, - $145.00
kwik set locks 4 sets - $250.00
