MAKEOVER MASTER BATHROOM

I decided to re-do the bathroom.
*Options I considered for this project:
Do I hire 1 contractor or 2 to 3 contractors. I decided to choose 1 contractor and 2 close friends.
*Questions and unexpected events that arose during the project:
Contractor ran out of tile for floor. Friends only showed up for 2 days.
* Cost Comments:
Contractor's fee includes demolition & materials & lobor was $10,000.
*My motivation to do this project:
I needed more space, I'm a big guy which means I need a big bathroom.
*Project Steps:
Get quotes from at min. 3 contractors. Make sure they are licensed. Once that is handled, begin with a plan on the design you want, the budget, and time it will take to complete the project. All of this should be discussed with your contractor and friends committing to this project. I decided on a garden tub with title on the three sides of the wall, I wanted a glass sliding door shower, title is also in the shower. I also changed the location of the bathroom.
Advice:
Dont hire friends, Make sure contractor is insured and bonded. Set a time line for completion. Let bathroom set for 2 to 3 days so set up and installation is dry.
