Tiling Bathroom Floor

Retiled Bathroom Floor
*Options I considered for this project:
My wife and I looked at different tiles, and we went back and forth between the darker or lighter colors. We decided to go with a lighter shade of tile than we had originally considered.
*Questions and unexpected events that arose during the project:
Math is a great tool. Your sixth grade teacher was right, you do use math everyday! Math has never been my best subject, so I did miscalculate the squiare footage, and the amount of tiles I would need. Nothing that a quick Home Depot run could not fix.
* Cost Comments:
The tile was $1.88 a tile, and I needed 35 for this particular project. Simple math was all it took!
*My motivation to do this project:
I did this project because I had to replace the sink in the guest bath. The new sink would have made the old floor look just that, well, old.
*Project Steps:
My wife and I had to first agree on the color and size of the tile that we wanted for that room. Once we decided that, then I had to figure out the square footage of the room and decide how much tile I would need for the project. I then ripped up the old floor, laide my thinset, and began tiling and grouting my bathroom.
Advice:
Always have a plan, and always consult your spouse with that plan. Math is very important in configuring how much tile is needed for a new floor. Give yourself plenty of time to do this. I thought I would be able to do a little here and there, and be done in one weekend, but it ended up taking me two weekends due to miscalculations.
