Framing a masterbath mirror

I would like to add a frame around my masterbath mirror. I would like to have mitered edges and stain the wood to coordinate with my existing cabinetry.
*My motivation to do this project:
I live in a newer construction home and I have a double vanity with a plain mirror on the wall.
Materials:
4 X rosettes - $10.68
3 X embossed molding - $52.05
1 X Liquid Nails - $4.50
1 X stain - $11.68
1 X paint brush - $4.79
1 X Super Fine Sand Paper - $3.27
This is the amount of space between the backsplash and the bottom of the mirror.
This is the space between the wall and the side of the mirror.
Just another view of the mirror and vanity.
These are the 2 light fixtures above the mirror.
One of the light fixtures, I would eventually like to change these out also, but realize I will have to change the faucets and the knobs.
This is my bathroom cabinets and I want the mirror to coordinate. I really don't want it to be matchy matchy.
Ok, I've bought my wood. Now I've got to pick the stain.
The rosette is bigger than the molding and the molding is not flat at the top.
I love the way the stain came out, but I'm wondering how to even the molding with the rosette.
This is the part that will be at the bottom of the mirror, so it will be flat.
Ok, finally finishing up this project. I will be staining the molding over the next couple days and adhering to the mirror this weekend. Then it's the guest bathroom mirror next. I'm going to try mitering for that one.

I just purchased the 8 ft. pieces of molding and 4 rosettes, since Home Depot doesn't do miter cuts. I'm a bit hesitant because now I'm not sure whether to add the rosettes or to have someone miter the pieces for me. I have brouhgt home a brochure of sample stain colors, so that is my next step.

The rosettes are larger than the molding and one side of the molding is curved and not flat. How do I fill in that small gap? Can I add another piece of thin molding? I hope you can see what I'm talking about from the pictures.
