Refinished an old Singer sewing machine

Steven V
by Steven V
I was given an old Singer sewing machine( that was going to be thrown out). It was in pretty bad shape. I really liked the wood and decided that I could make it come alive again.
*My motivation to do this project:
I really liked the piece, it had great potential and I thought that it would fit nicely in my home.
*Project Steps:
Striped
Sanded
Stained
Painted actual machine black
Advice:
Make sure that you do not rush finishing a vintage or antique piece of furniture. I have seen a piece rushed and you can tell when you look at it. Do the project outside (less mess). Take your time and enjoy it.
