A New Look for an Old Window

Today I’m sharing one other small change in our Kitchen that I LOVE and I gave our old Garden Window a new Look with some paint.
We have a Garden Window that was here when we moved in and although it’s pretty and nice to put things on the shelves and pretty plants, it always bugged me that it was black and didn’t go with the look of the house and that there was a raw wood shelf that was never painted or finished.
Why I lived with it for almost 3 years is a great question but sometimes you get used to things and I would add grass for spring and things to cover it up too.
Sometimes doubt or fear holds me back on starting a project. The thoughts of what if I mess it up or what if it doesn’t look as great as it looks in my head will come to mind and stop me or slow me down from “Just Doing It.” It’s so silly huh? I may not be the best painter but new paint is better than old paint any day.
Here’s the after with new white paint.
See the eyesore I was looking at every day when I did dishes.
And here is the after!! Doesn’t it look sooo much better? I love the new look and it cost me zero because we had the primer and the paint. The rack I popped out and took out back and spray painted it. The metal I taped off and primed and painted it a few coats. It’s amazing how much brighter it is and I love doing dishes now.
