No-Sew Window Treatment w/ a Standard Purchased Panel

As a military wife who moved so many times I simply stopped counting, I figured out after the 4th or 5th move that constantly buying new window treatments for every home would get tiresome and expensive. So I created this easy no-sew window treatment where i could use inexpensive window panels. I have even used shower curtains I found on clearance. You simply fold the panel so that it is the same width as the rod (allow enough to wrap the ends), and double the length you desire the treatment to be (i.e a 22" long drop, fold 44"). Drape over the rod, and use ribbon or cording to draw up the panel on each end to create a draping affect. Easy, easy!

Barb, I love this. i'm going to do white fluffy curtains with big bows and post a pic here when I'm done. Hanging the rods is my biggest challenge - I have no clue how to do it.

Ugh, I hate hanging rods, too. But just remember that a level is your best friend. :)

Please do post the pics when you're thru.

This is such a unique way to do window treatments. Since I don't sew, I really like this idea.

This is such a great idea for a quick and inexpensive window treatment! I love the soft folds that are created when the panel is drawn up.

Suzy this is one of my favorite go-to window treatment ideas when there is no time to sew. :)
