I Saw the Light (and Saved $140.00) - Another Thrifty Makeover

I recently purchased an old ceiling light at Goodwill for $4.00. My plans are to use it in my laundry room. I painted it with Rustoleum Dark Chestnut metallic. I like this color almost better than the oil-rubbed bronze I used in the past for these type of projects.
I was pretty pleased the way it turned out. But I became ecstatic when I browsed the Ballard website and came across an almost identical fixture for $149.00
Surely, I thought, it must be a lot bigger and then I checked the dimensions. It is the exact size as the one I have. Wow - the things you can do with a thrifty find and a can of paint!

After the makeover.
And here is the Ballard fixture for $149.00
Sorry, but I forgot to take a picture before I painted the lamp. But this is the brass color it was before. You know, the lights that were so popular in the 90's.
