Broom Closet Inspiration

Halloween is only a day away and for some reason it inspired me to write about my favorite broom closets! Perhaps it’s the thought of little witches running around town carrying brooms, or the mess leftover after Halloween festivities, but keeping cleaning supplies organized shouldn’t be just for wizards and magicians.
Pull-out closets makes great use of narrow spaces and are especially useful for broke and other cleaning supplies which tend to take up more vertical space. Pull-out closets also make cleaning supplies extra accessible.
There are several ways to hang up and sort brooms, mops and dusters. The left uses hooks as opposed to the right image which uses pegs. It all comes down to the materials you need to organize and the features they offer–such as holes in the handles which allow the item to be hung up on a wall or suspended by a hook or nail.
Depending upon the space of your closet, there are a variety of ways to hang up and sort your cleaning supplies. I love these two ideas for suspending brooms and mops using hooks and a pegboard.
