Re-purposed fence into a Head Board... you don't HAVE to use items for their intended purpose!

Simple.... I purchased a reed fence from the K-Mart garden department...rolled it out flat, then evenly rolled up each of the sides so that the total width would fit my queen size bed. Then, tied the "rolls" on either side in the back where it wouldn't be seen to keep it from unintentionally unrolling, propped it up against the wall behind the bed, secured to the wall with a few VERY SMALL screw nails here and there and VOILA! INSTANT "BEACHY" headboard!
"Beachy" headboard... Total cost.. $20.00 and about 30 minutes time.

Great idea! I've painted these fences before, too...lots of options!

Aren't you a smarty pants. It looks really great. I so agree about thinking out of the box about stuff and am always thinking "what could I do with this thing".
