Our Powder Room Tells a Story

My husband and I collect art and memorabilia from our hometown, and display it in our guest powder room. It makes for great conversation, and adds a little personalization and a tad bit of humor to our home.
I recently gave the powder room a makeover. It started like this:
The walls were neutral, it didn't flow with the rest of the house, it was "blah".
I painted the walls the same shade of blue that was used in the adjoining mudroom. I replaced the window shade with a natural fiber roman shade.
I added some details to the decor (gold "DC" letters and gave the GW bust an update).
Our powder room will be a "living space". As we find more art, we can add it to the growing collection, creating a larger gallery wall around the loo!
Take a look at the blog to see the full before and after photos.
