DIY Musical Chair Makeover

From sad to sensational, this $5 Goodwill find is now a beauty. Found lost and forgotten in a corner of the store, this chair had good bones. The chair is solid wood, no veneer, and is in very good shape. There was evidence that the chair was not originally white, but was stained cherry.
I took this little orphan (no brothers or sister in site) home with me. After a good wash and a coat of paint, it was looking good!
The upholstery was in good shape, but was not my taste. I saved the backing to put on again after the new fabric was stapled down. The edges were frayed so I just trimmed the old backing and it looked good as new.
The seat needed some repair, so I used pieces of a chain door lock to fix it. Unique character was added in the form of subtle whimsical musical notes . Come see the complete project on my blog at Mustlovehome.com. I hope to see you there.
