Winter Themed Gallery Wall

A gallery wall that reflects the interests and personalities of the family that lives in the home is pretty much my favorite design element in any room. We recently added some planking to a wall in our family room and we love how it changed the whole feel of the room. Next, we created a winter themed gallery wall. Our family loves to spend time in the Adirondack Mountains of Upstate NY, especially during the snowy months. This wall reflects that.
We started with the deer head and sled and added the other pictures and elements around that. We laid out the entire gallery wall on the floor, moving things around until we were happy with the overall look. Then, we used mostly removable adhesive hooks and hangers so we can change the look out after winter.
We have collected many of the items used over time, but there is a picture with many of the sources on my blog.

Love it – especially that plaid scarf!!! Bet it makes you smile every time you pass it.... I'm all about changing things up for the season. Keeps me from getting bored with my decor (keeps me from buying new stuff, too). I don't have room to store 'dimensional' pieces, so I do it all with prints and pillow covers. Super fast and easy (except for stuffing the pillows into the cases--I'm sure there's a trick to this...) I can refresh the entire main floor in < 5 minutes. Since I can store a year's worth of prints in the back of my EasyGallery® frames, I don't have to find a place to store them. And, pillow cases are easy to squeeze into the closet on a pants hanger.
