Tim's Man Blog on Oct 17, 2014Yep.... you sure can. Almost any natural gas appliance can be converted to propane and vice-versa. If you are buying the box unit new, just inquire at the store about a "propane conversion kit" which includes the required fittings, nozzles etc. for the different gas (which is basically simply because the molecules of different gasses are different sizes and burn different temperatures). Installing the "conversion kit" is a simple job for an avid DIYer, but anyone unsure of working with gas lines should seek a professional to make the conversion.
