How to Remove Sticky Residue Naturally

I bought this second hand ironstone tureen at a thrift store. They had it so wrapped in packing tape to keep the ladle and lid on the tureen. When I got it home and removed (a huge job in itself) all the packing tape, there was a ton of sticky gummy residue all over the set! I tried soaking it in hot soapy water but, that did little except spread the gummy residue around. I was out of Goo Gone, so I peeled a couple of oranges!
Clean as a whistle!
I thrift a lot so, that means a lot of sticker and tape residue. The commercial removers work great but, they are so toxic!
The natural oils in citrus fruit have amazing cleaning power!
A little elbow grease and all your sticky gummy residue is gone!
