Rustic Christmas Signs
by

(IC: homeowner)
We love making Christmas signs on old pieces of board. The nostalgia of Christmas' past suits any decor. These signs are used inside and out, can be hung or leaned. If you are looking perfection, you won't find it here.
We have made many "JOY" signs on various pieces of board.
Barnboard is great for old signs!
What I used to do was print out the words I wanted from the computer onto regular printer paper then set the words on the board with carbon paper underneath and outline all the letters with a pencil (press hard). Remove the papers and paint in the words. Don't use office carbon paper but good carbon paper from a craft store, one piece can be used over and over again :)
This board was from a century home's board & batten interior.
We harvested this board from an old barn shelf unit.
