Paisley Stencilled Floor

This fixer up we purchased has been a none stop adventure - physically and financially.
When it came time to work on the little reading/t.v. room there were no funds left for a new floor - which it desperately needed - the 100 years or so have not been kind to the floors in this house.
Though I had most of the downstairs refinished - ( and was told they could not be done again - last time - that's how worn down they are ) this little room needed something - and it had to be cheap ( but pretty - oh so pretty lol )
I painted it first with a dark grey paint ( Behr Porch & Patio ) and then applied a paisley stencil from Cutting Edge Stencils - I also put a coat of Nano technology Polyurethane for protection.
Cost for the " new " floor was under 100.00
Difficulty level?
One of the easiest home improvement projects I've EVER worked on - time consuming to be sure - but incredibly easy.

Paisley? On a floor? Don't know how you came up with the idea but this is absolutely beautiful!!! Really, it's one the coolest things I've EVER seen anywhere, gorgeous but fun too!
  • Thanks so much Molly ! Really ! Now I have to tell you that I thought I was a GENIUS when I did this - and then discovered other people have done it as well............so it's not as original as I thought LOL It's holding up incredibly well though and ended up being one of the best decisions I've made so far ( cheap wise ! ) You made my day - so I hope you had a wonderful one too :)
