Nakeisha F on Sep 29, 2012Thanks everyone for your honest opinions. Eclectically Vintage, I agree with you and that's why I'm asking this question. My husband seems to be locked in with this fabric but not me. Miriam and Kristi, I love white but not with a toddler in the home. I would prefer some other color that would blend in with everything and not worry about it being dirty easily. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Oh, Ellen H, yes it's the same fabric.Helpful Reply

Z on Sep 29, 2012Depending on the look you are going for, I think the fabric could have looked lovely. I love tone on tone looks with bold accents as the brown pillows would have been. But that being said and the fact you have a toddler that I would guess gets in Mommy and Daddy's bed now and then. With that in mind what a brown leather like fabric? Chose to "Show All" at this link.... http://www.fabric.com/SearchResults2.aspx?Source=Header&SearchText=leather+like&CategoryID=1d5f47dc-9991-4088-93f3-26a376046a5e%u00a0 It would certainly be easier to wipe clean and be easier to change you rooms decor down the road.Helpful Reply

Sharron W on Sep 30, 2012I love the "Tooled Brown Leather" In that link Becky and have actually seen it in person, because I have a piece in my "texture tools" in the studio, it really DOES look like tooled leather....and is pretty durable....THEN the fabric Hubby likes can be used for some accent pillows...and maybe to upholster a chair in the room....lol Although, Peach and blues ARE complementary colors being opposites on the color wheel... That "tooled leather" fabric also comes in a beige/cream color...they may not have it on the link Becky provided but I believe I've seen it at Fabric.com...Helpful Reply

Therese C on Sep 30, 2012I think a tooled leather as well with maybe the "nailhead" look in pewter. The possibilities are endless with the wall color, but with a toddler the easier the care the better. You do not need to use real leather if that is out of the question, micro fiber is very reasonable as a back up or even a headboard in rich chocolate brown button tufted sateen cloth/nail head trim in pewter. If you use dark brown you can throw in some brushed nickel accents and accent pillows in grays, silvery blue, black, or vanilla. Just a thought! Good luck and post pictures!Helpful Reply

Judith F on Sep 30, 2012You could add 2 bold colors corded trim that would frame it out and then would set it apart from wall color!!Helpful Reply

Nakeisha F on Oct 06, 2012Therese C, I think I'm heading for a kind of brown fabric with either white or beige on it. Thanks much for the ideas to both you and Judith F. @ Sharron W, I like the idea of turning the fabric into an upholstered chair and will definitely be using it. Thanks a million for that thought. I like!Helpful Reply
