3po3 on Sep 30, 2012Washing your plants with water and insecticidal soap should do the trick. Here's a nice primer on house plants: http://www.hort.purdue.edu/ext/ho-39.pdfHelpful Reply

Douglas Hunt on Oct 01, 2012In addition to giving them a good shower, you will want to acclimate them a bit befor bringing them in. Start by brining them in just at night, and gradually increase the time they spend indoors over two weeks or so. This will significantly lessen the stress on the plants as they transition to a drier, darker environment.Helpful Reply

Gail Salminen on Oct 02, 2012Kathleen, I have a few I put out for the summer and bring in for the winter to use them again next year. Soaking them and allowing them to drain before bringing in works for me. If I notice some pest, I encase them in a clear plastic bag for a few day, but have only had to do this once. - sprayed the insecticidal soap on them prior to bagging them. Good luck.Helpful Reply

Kathleen M on Oct 04, 2012@ Douglas Hunt ~ They are big lol, and no, my indoor space is not :( I am trying to get an old aquarium stand topped and mosaic'd to use as a plant stand so I can save on floor space ~~ not enough hours in the day sometimes :)Helpful Reply
