Best paint color these days for a southwest style home

3po3 on Oct 21, 2012Hi Lynda, I recommend using a color visualizer, like this: https://www.sherwin-williams.com/visualizer/# You can upload photos, then find a matching color to some color in your pieces. If you can't pull out a color you love, use the dark teak and find a lighter tone of the same brown. Or you can do what some other folks have done around here, and post some photos to let Hometalk find your new colors.Helpful Reply

Leslie D on Oct 22, 2012Do you have a favorite Southwest piece of pottery, rug, or a piece of art in your home that you absolutely love? If so, pull your colors from that. I've always found that muted blue/grays green/grays look great with dark furniture, and that reds/oranges are difficult to use with dark wood pieces. If you have some pictures, there are a LOT of great designers on this site who could help.Helpful Reply
