DIY Plywood Magazine File

With it's jumble of painted/unpainted magazine files and coil bound course packs, the fourth row of my Ikea was the last hold out in my pursuit of bookcase orderliness. I wanted to maximize the storage in each cubby for my current (and growing) collection of magazines, so my Handy Hubby and I devised plans for massive magazine files, made out of

I love how everything is hidden! I decided to stain the outsides of the magazines files white, but painted the insides turquoise. No one will ever see the colour but Hubby and I (and you), but it makes me smile.
I'm not going to lie: once they're packed they're a bit heavy, but it's nothing I can't manage. Frankly, I can use the bit of exercise. To protect the Expedit, we added little felt feet:
The tutorial is fairly lengthy (but very straightforward). It could easily be adapted to just a simple bin to corral toys or office supplies.
