Sandy, Our Pumpkin Witch
After a few years of trying the usual Pumpkin decorating strategies i.e. carving, painting, crafting we wanted something new and super fun. When I mentioned the idea of making a Pumpkin Witch the kids caught on to it pretty fast. For once they didn't want the meanest or scariest looking pumpkin instead they were all for it. I guess they were more amused at how we could make a witch out of Pumpkins. Sure enough the project turned out to be fun for the whole family and frankly was easier that the usual carved Pumpkin.
Can you guess what we used to make the shiny black teeth and eyes? Acrylic Paint!
It is as simple as you can get, 3 Pumpkins, a paring knife, some paint, and 2 pencils. Add a hat, cauldron, and broom and you have your own charming one of a kind Pumpkin lady.
Here she is gracing our Fall porch.
