The Myths Surrounding the World's #1 Herbicide

Andrea Fabry

Most of our soy and corn crops are Roundup Ready, but are we?
Glyphosate use has increased dramatically in recent years - assumed harmless because it attacks the shikimate pathway in plants. The shikimate pathway is missing in humans but it is not missing in the microbial world. What could glyphosate in the form of Roundup be doing to our digestive tracts?
Could we be missing a critical connection with the rise of celiac disease and other intestinal disorders? Are there natural alternatives to glyphosate?

This is an excerpt of my community's water report. The acceptable levels of glyphosate are too high for my comfort.
I will continue to invest in organic, non-GMO food, filter my water and avoid Roundup.

There have been a lot of innovations designed to feed the world. We should be asking,"What are we feeding them and is it safe?" I think instead of us trying to feed the world, maybe we should endeavor to teach them to grow their own food. When you consider what the food grown here is doing to our population, we might benefit from a pause and another look at the nutrition of our food. I don't mind paying for properly grown pesticide free and nutritious food. Who has the best technology,God or Monsanto?
