Winter Twig Wreath

I always take my Christmas decorations down slowly. It's hard to let them go. The house always looks so festive and fun and full of joy at Christmastime. Like a party waiting to happen. And then.....when the decorations come down.....it feels so empty.
And sad and generally unfestive.
That's when I try to add a little winter to my house.....like this twig wreath. It's a fun way to make the house festive....just a little longer.

I feel the same way so in January, I decorate my house with my collection of snowmen without the traditional red and green but with the shimmers of white, crystal, and silver. Of course, I decorate for many seasons. January - Snowmen; February - Hearts and Roses; March - St. Patrick's (I'm Irish Puerto Rican); April and May - Spring & Bunnies; June - Sunflowers; July - Patriotic; August - Back to School; September - Fall; October - Add Halloween to Fall decor; November - Exchange Halloween for turkeys and pilgrims; December - Christmas with six trees and two in the starting phases.

I hear you! My home feels so much warm and inviting with Christmas lights. We still use the large colored bulb lights I had as a child on our tree. What a beautiful glow they create! I like this wreath - we always have so many tree branches fall and more came last night! I can't wait to make this wreath!

What a great and easy idea! Perfect for adding a little festiveness to an otherwise dreary season. =)
