Remember That French Provincial Furniture From the 60's?

That furniture, by now, is ever so yellow and in many cases very dusty because it has been hidden away in the garage. But the bones are fantastic.
My advice to you is to get it out and paint it up!
This piece was painted in Chalk Paint® in CoCo.
After applying a light coat of clear wax I applied a fairly heavy coat of dark wax in the crevices with a small brush. Then I pulled the dark wax over the rest of the area with a larger wax brush.
A light touch with a bronze gilding wax was the last step.
This curio cabinet is mirrored in the back and lighted as well. It also has glass shelves - not shown in these pictures.
For more details on the waxing please check out the blog post.
