DIY Wall Plates

I have two small spaces on either side of my china cabinet. I was thinking about ways to decorate it and I decided I wanted to create a wall of decorative plates. I started researching about purchasing plates and of course, as always, I wanted to find a more affordable option. I wanted to decorate some of my own plates as well as purchase a few.
I was at Hobby Lobby (my favorite store ever!) and found these adorable black, white and gold plates which inspired me to only use/decorate the wall with those colors. I've always been obsessed with black and white but I am now loving adding touches of gold.
Since I wanted to make some of my own plates, I went to Dollar Tree and purchased 6 white plates in different shapes and sizes. I then found these great paint pens at Target to use on the plain white plates.

I really like the plates on the wall look, but how do you attach them to the wall without damaging it?

Without damaging the plate? I was too worried about gluing on the plate as I made most of them but you can also buy these plate hangers called Disc Adhesive Plate Hanger. I believe those can be removed but they can also be a little spendy. Hope that helps!

Very pretty! I love plates as well; but I built my collection through years and gifts given to me. Each one means something to me and has a memory attached it. Here is a sample. Excuse the mess.

@ @Liliana Wells I LIKE THIS IDEA, BUT REALLY INTERESTED IN WHERE YOU FOUND THE PLATE HOLDER FOR 4 PLATES. I PURCHASED MY SISTER SEASONAL PLATES BY CURRIER/IVES AT GARAGE SALE, BUT DIFFICULT TIME FINDING PLATE HOLDER FOR 4 SMALL PLATES!
