Katrina Smalley on Mar 14, 2015Oh my...a lot of potential! I would lay a path connecting walks with an added path leading to tree for starters, then different small hostas, small reblooming daylilies, a couple small bushes for the 'bones' . ..set a bistro set under treeHelpful Reply

Marion Nesbitt on Mar 15, 2015Would level a spot near the fir trees and make a patio area which would be close to your back door. I'd plant slowers, etc. on the remaining area.Helpful Reply

Lindcurt on Mar 15, 2015If you are going to plant anything but cactus in that area you will need to keep the dogs off of it. Possibly another fence inside of your fence with a "run" for the dogs around the perimeter of your yard. Adding a gate at your patio steps would give the dogs access to the deck area from a "doggy opening" on each end of the deck. The dog's could only access the people area when invited in. It would also keep the doggy "land mines" out of the people area. It's almost impossible to have a nice yard and dogs.Helpful Reply

Elizabeth Sagarminaga on Mar 16, 2015There are a few options, all of which would look good. First, as already suggested in the thread, you can build a garden pathway through the space and make the outdoor space get a fresh new look. Secondly, you could add some flowering plants in decorative pots in the space and make a beautiful pattern and thus, utilize the entire triangular area. Hope you like it. http://bit.ly/1Jrkn29Helpful Reply
