Sherrie on Mar 20, 2015We use a Commerical degreaser oven cleaner that I purchase at Sam's Club. Don't spray it directly on you have to use care when using this product especially if it is stainless steel range. Spray it in your cloth and wipe off, mother rinse. If your over spray on stainless it could arc it.Helpful Reply

Sandy Strans on Mar 20, 2015Jenn-Aire is a total waste of time & money. This cooktop takes 1/2 day or more to clean and is a mess after each use. Jenn-Aire is overpriced & charged $29 for each knob after they became melted looking. Their customer service is terrible. I take the cooktop apart, put it in the dishwasher & put on superscrub cycle which wastes more time, energy, water & money. Then you have to clean under each area after removing the gas pipes for hand washing. My flat top electric range in my other house takes 5 minutes to clean with vinegar & baking soda.Helpful Reply

Sandy Strans on Mar 20, 2015Anything but J-A, as they don't care about questions about cleaning & knobs that get a melted look except to sell you $29 each for knobs. Sears, Lowes & Amazon.com have great selections for stove tops. I'd rip out the J-A cooktop & replace with electric but it's 47" wide and most electric cooktops aren't that big; plus it's in an island with granite all around so that's at least another $1500 for the granite.Helpful Reply

Linda Stroney on Mar 20, 2015well someone put the idea of using baking soda, make a paste with water out of it. and smear it on your oven. It did get most of the badly burned stuff up. (after sitting overnight) it should work on those too.Helpful Reply

Angela on Mar 22, 2015I use Brillo pads, not sure if they have the same name in the US but they are like gentle wire wool pads with a pink soap inside them. They get everything off!Helpful Reply
