When we moved in the walls were pink/lavender.
First round painted it tan. Struggled with furniture placement a bit. This room is so long!
Changed the arrangement and color scheme in 2009
I finally figured out my furniture arrangement and I like this color scheme, more monochromatic and soft.
I think I'll change it up when we move to our new house! I like change! I am happy with how this is now, though.

Your room is so pretty, love the paint color of the room, also ! The rug makes the room look so much better and really grounds the furniture placement. :)

You have quite a few beautiful design elements but I want to offer a bit of constructive advice. You have too much when it comes to accent pieces, knick knacks, pillows, wall art, etc. Everything is quite nice, but you are creating a somewhat cluttered look without intending to. You are simply displaying items you like and enjoy. Just because the room is spacious doesn't mean it should be filled up. When you move to your new home, give the "less is more" philosophy a go. If you feel the need to display all your treasures, alternate them on a seasonal basis. You will get a fresh look regularly and still showcase your goodies.
