The World of Snapdragons

Snapdragons are a sure sign of warmer weather! Mine looked so dead all winter, but totally came alive in the last few weeks. Here in North Carolina we can pretty much be assured of them overwintering…but, of course, it's never a sure thing. Mine I planted last fall, they flowered a bit, and then the cold weather hit. But given enough food and compost, a gentle cut back, some sun and warm weather, they are flourishing!
I love the bright, clean colors and especially like the tall variety. Great in the garden, and even better as cut flowers: so easy to arrange.

Pinks and yellows mix well together.
Waiting in the sink for just the right vase.
Nice and tall: love the yellow!
