From Crate to Coffee

My father-in-law used to work in a convent. During WW2, and after our part of country was liberated the convent was used as a military hospital for the joined forces. An old army trunk was left behind after they left and my father in law stashed it away in the attic.
We found it there and a couple of years ago I gave it a Frenchy makeover.
This year it got yet another makeover and inspired me to redecorate a corner of our outdoor terrace.
Loving this bit of our garden now!

With the combination of oldsignsstencils and fusion paint an old trunk got a major makeover.
An old beat-up army trunk got a major makeover.
Inside the crate on the lid evidence of its former duty is visible.
From crate to coffee. Perfection in my book.
The 'new' old crate is now the shop stopper on my garden terrace.
