Thank you! Painting them {Vermont Cream by BEHR} really brightened up the space, which was desperately needed!

What a difference paint can make right and it is such a simple task. It's all in the vision and you have a good one. Nice Blog by the way.

Great Job!!! I love the fresh look the new "white" cabinets make. Amazing what a can of paint can do...and you sure showed us a good example!!!

Love it! I want to make a 'Claundry" - a combination closet and laundry room. I am making my laundry room into a walk-in closet for the entire family. That way I can take clothes out of the dryer and put them directly away. No more carrying to other closets to put away or leaving for family members to put in their drawers that actually lay there for days (or until they wear them!) before they are put away. It will include shelves for each person as well as hanging space. No more ...»
chests of drawers, dressers, etc. They get what they need to wear out of the centrally-located claundry. Dirty clothes go down the chute each day and are washed and put away immediately.

Very nice, but I'd be happy just having a laundry room period, instead of a corner of the dismal, dirty garage.

Thank you all so much for your nice comments!! I appreciate it! To answer @Shellene M, the color is Crystal Blue by Valspar and is a Waverly color. I also think this has been pinned on Pinterest a few times, so this could be the one you saw @ Catherine G. Let me know fi you have any other questions and you are welcome to follow me over at my blog http://blissfullyeverafter.net

    Thanks again!

I have a tiny 5' X 12" laundry room/ half-bath between the garage and the rest of the living areas. The doors are on the long walls essentially cutting the room in half. The window is above the washer & dryer. You have some great ideas for freeing up space and I love the wall color too.

Jennifer, Bernice H is from Yakima over on your side! What a small world. My room is on hold to finish the 2 upstairs rooms. The goal is to be completed with them by mid-March. I will be painting the cabinet that is now over the dryer and putting it over the new laundry sink. I have oak ventilated shelving, from an old closet organizer, that I will put on the walls above the washer and dryer.

Hey Kelly S hey Jennifer@Blissfully Ever After yup, here in Yakima...just a stones' throw from you both. Jennifer dont you just love Hobby Lobby...i sooo envy you! All we have is a sub par Ross and TJMaxx . I drool when I go to HL. Love the Ldy room, girl, very nice! ♥ Kelly, hubs got the info for me for that Bellevue thrift charity store..but what did i do with it? We will do it again..doncha hate when you "clean and declutter" and then you wish you hadn't?

Alot of the times when I declutter I end up going to Goodwill and buying back what I just donated or buying it new because I finally got around to making what ever it was that I was saving it for.lol I decided no new projects until the upstairs is done... well at least inhabitable. lol Homes are never done done. Unfortunately the laundry room is on hold but it is still mostly functional. The sink is in place but not hooked up, it can wait. I have 3 other sinks that I can use. What is a Hobby Lobby? Is that like Michaels?

Kelly S it is a wonderland of home decorating items, so beautifully arranged in colors in separate glass cubbies, craft items, smaller furniture pieces from everywhere.....bring your lunch and good shoes! ha! Bigger and better than Michaels!

Bernice H - I haven't finished it yet, but have the basics are in place. My laundry room is currently in a finished area of our lower level. We have the chute in place and I hope to get the closet cabinetry/shelves in place later this year. Then it's out with the chests of drawers and all the other pieces that take up all the space in our rooms just to hold clothes. I can't wait!
