The has challenged me to tackle a corner in my backyard which i use as a place stash my "future" projects.
Cleaning up the woodpile was not pleasant. Yet it was necessary. my family was very concerned about where all of those spiders would find a new home :/
Now on to the fun part :)
I wanted the tub to have a black base coat with a hint of gold flicker in the sunlight. First i painted on a layer of flat black.
Then used an old tshirt to wipe on gold gilding wax.
After touching up the paint and sealing it, the following day I went to mylocal nursery and chose a few annuals n perennials to fill it up.
I used black Rustoleum paint to spray my Grandpa's old water pump, then added a few sparkling crystals ....
I chose a variety of plant textures and heights for my garden container.
My once embarrassing corner is now the most beautiful space in the yard.
Enjoyed the project?

Denise Boyce on Oct 16, 2015What you did is beautiful Jamie! The selection of plants is outstanding but the creme de la creme is the "water" pouring from the pump. You have a fantastic eye!
