Last year, for my birthday, my oldest son gave me an assortment of stuff, that he thought I could recycle or repurpose into something fantastic. These metal pieces were my final challenge.
I originally thought they were some kind of fan part, but one of my readers believed them to be part of a shelf used in a bathroom. They would have originally been attached to a pole.

Finally had an aha moment when my husband held the two shelf pieces up (like above) and I could envision wings, angel wings.
Down to the worshop where I gathered pieces of junk together to form the rest of the body. The wood, is old fence pieces, old springs for the hair, the head is the rounded part of a dowel. You get the idea..junk.
The body was painted, sanded and waxed. For the wings, I modpodged strips of newspaper to the wood.
Hope you get a chance to stop by to see more pictures and to see what other goodies my son gave me and what became of them.
Enjoyed the project?
